Vision
The MVGFC Libary envisions to have an updated and relevant collection of books and other learning resource materials necessary for the transformation and development of 21st-century professionals who are competent and dedicated in the practice of his/her profession.
Mission
In support of the institution's quest to make education at MVGFCI the key to a better future for its students, the MVGFCI Library is committed to continuously maintain adequate, well-planned, and selected library collections both print and non-print materials in support of the different educational programs and curricula of the College.
Objectives
1. In collaboration with the academic community, select the appropriate learning resources with recent copyright at a cost-effective price and acquire them expeditiously to satisfy the needs of the students as well as meet the goals of the curriculum.
2. Formulate, organize, evaluate, and implement programs to encourage the use of library materials.
3. Provide adequate space to house and maintain the various teaching/learning materials of the library and make them accessible to both faculty and students.
4. Protect and preserve collections for the benefit of future users.
5. Efficiently administers services to assist library users to discover and make use of information pertinent to their needs.
6. Foster and maintain effective working relationships with the academic and research community, and in particular, with other libraries in accordance with common goals and objectives.
7. Provide working areas and the environment with well-maintained, organized, and conducive to both learning and enjoyment while using library resources.
8. Promote a lifelong interest in reading.
9. Provide timely and useful reports to management relating to circulation, collection, compliance, policies, extent of library usage, areas to improve, new systems and innovations to integrate for library upgrading, and the like.
10. Comply with the standards and guidelines for libraries set by CHED.
