Gallegan Research and Extension Council (GREC)
On November 15, 2023, the Gallegan Research and Extension Council (GREC) was established with the vision and mission to foster collaborative research under the leadership of the current chairman. This step is to align and integrate instruction, research, and extension.
Aligned with Republic Act 7722, which emphasizes the pivotal role of higher education in both knowledge dissemination and research, MVGFCI recognizes the necessity to adapt to internationalization and prioritize research outputs. Therefore, we propose the establishment of the Gallegan Research and Extension Council (GREC) to consolidate efforts, foster collaboration, and elevate the institution's profile, thereby enhancing standards towards Higher Education Collaboration (HEC).
Appointed GREC members, who hold Master's or Doctorate Degrees and possess robust research backgrounds meeting CHED's criteria, will contribute their expertise to advance research and extension initiatives. This initiative will enhance the institution's academic reputation and societal impact.
We take pride in the fact that through GREC, we completed five research projects using Multidisciplinary-Based Approach (MBA). Our ITE students actively participated in conducting these research outputs for the subject “Pananaliksik” during a one-month Summer Class for SY 2023-2024.
